Outreach
According to scientific research, a child that is exposed to some form of art has increased creativity, imagination, self confidence and critical thinking.
Our Scholarship Training Program seeks to cast the widest net possible to discover talent throughout Central Oklahoma and give opportunities to those who might not otherwise have them. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and talent in the Dance Center of OKC Ballet. Through a generous grant from Allied Arts and in collaboration with Prairie Dance Theatre, OKC Ballet will provide beginning ballet training to socioeconomically challenged children during the Dance Center of OKC Ballet’s annual six week summer program.
“It has increased her self esteem and given her an outlet to do something that is beautiful and unique. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!”
quote from the parent of a scholarship student

Wonderful performance! This was our favorite! The dancing, scenery and costumes were remarkable!
These are all comments from students who have attended an Oklahoma City Ballet ArtsReach performance. Now in its 21st year, ArtsReach has been recognized by the Business Committee for the Arts in New York City, featured on A&E and Bravo and received the prestigious Governor’s Arts Award in 1997
ArtsReach is designed to bring the beauty of ballet into the lives of students across the state. The ArtsReach program began with only 1,500 students and in the past 21 years has grown to reach more than 150,000 students and educators. Support from both local and national foundations enables Oklahoma City Ballet to offer this program to all students free of charge.
