Wei Wu danced with the Lioning Ballet Troupe in china for 15 years before coming to the United States in 1996 to join the David Taylor Dance Theater and later Tulsa Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet. Wei won a gold medal at the French Houlgate Seventh International Ballet Competition in 1988. He has danced principal roles in a number of classical and contemporary works. Wei currently teaches ballet at Classen School of Advanced Studies.
