Ronnie Underwood

Originally from California, Ronnie grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received his training from Tulsa School of Ballet, Ballet Hispanico in New York City, and American Ballet Theatre. He performed as an apprentice with Tulsa Ballet Theatre before joining Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet (now Texas Ballet Theater) at the age of 19. He later danced as a principal dancer with Oregon Ballet Theatre. Ronnie has performed principal roles in Giselle, Coppelia, Swan Lake and created a principal role in Christopher Stowell's Eyes On You. He also performed as a guest artist with the critically acclaimed South African Ballet Theatre, dancing the role of Prince Florimund in The Sleeping Beauty. Ronnie has danced the coveted lead role in George Balanchines Apollo and has danced the works of contemporary choreographers Trey McIntyre, Nicolo Fonte and James Kudelka among others.
