Rebecca Zeese

Rebecca began her ballet training at the age of nine in Colorado Springs, CO. in the Chechetti method taught by Mavis Pakenham at the Colorado Springs Ballet Academy. Rebecca also studied at the Marshall School of Ballet in Houston, TX for 2 years and finished her classical dance training, in the Russian Method, in Lubbock, TX under the tutelage of Dr. Peggy Willis-Aarnio, Ph.D. and Galina Panova. She was a soloist with the Willis Ballet for 8 years and she had the privilege of performing alongside and touring with the Russian based ballet company of Marina Medvetskaya: the St. Petersburg Ballet Classic. She has danced several leading roles in such classical works as Grand Pas de Quatre, Giselle, Gaite Parisienne, Coppelia, and a number of variations from Paquita, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Esmeralda; as well as, several new contemporary ballets. She was selected numerous times to perform in Tango, Modern, and Jazz ballets, specifically choreographed for her by such choreographers as Galina Panova, Michael Mayes, and Shelia Kleinman. More recently, she has performed with the Dove Dance Soar Company - as a guest artist, with the Michael Mayes Dance Company of Dallas, at the Janey Slaughter-Briscoe Opera House in Uvalde, TX, as well as, in Denver Independent Choreographers Project.

Rebecca holds a B.A. in Dance with an emphasis in Ballet Performance from Texas Tech University. She has attended the International Congress for the Teaching Method of Classical Ballet taught by Dr. Peggy Willis-Aarnio, Ph.D. for 8 years. Therefore, she has become well versed in The Teaching Method of Classical Ballet developed by Agrippina Vaganova. She has been actively teaching students of all ages for 12 years, not only at the studio level, but also, at the Collegiate Level.

She resides with her husband and two beautiful girls in the Oklahoma Metro Area.
