James trained at the Palm Beach Ballet and the Houston Ballet Academy. He has performed with the Houston Ballet, Ballet Dallas, St. Louis Ballet, Les Ballet Trockedero de Monte Carlo, Contempra Dance Theatre, and Casa Manana. His favorite roles include D’Artagnan in The Three Musketeers, the Wolf in Peter and the Wolf, the Young Man in Carmina Burana, a swimmer in Les Biches, and Hillarion in Giselle.
