
Hui has been teaching dance for almost 20 years and although she loves to perform, her passion is sharing her love of dance with others. She got her start as an instructor of dance for NDA in the summer of 1988 and has not stopped teaching and performing since. She has worked and taught in London, Japan, Korea, British Columbia and most of the United States. Her experience with musical theater began in Oklahoma at Lyric with shows such as A Chorus Line and Peter Pan. She worked in Los Angeles and was seen in feature films such as “Batman & Robin” and “Happy Texas”. Her experience on stage includes being Mickey & Minnie Mouse for several Disney premiers, being featured in a show with the Russian Imperial Circus, and sharing the stage with stars like Sandy Duncan, Ed Harris, Smokey Robinson, Paul McCartney and Busta Rymes. Some video credits include Monifa, Candyman, and choreography for Brian Mcknight. She is currently head of the Jazz Department at the University of Central Oklahoma and earned her B.S. in Education there. She has choreographed shows recently for Pollard Theatre, OKC Philharmonic, OKC Summer Stock and many others. Hui co-founded Oklahoma Dance Alliance, OKLA Dance Connection, Groove Street Productions and is now the director of r.a.c.e dance company, the first Jazz/Hip Hop Dance Company in Oklahoma. She is currently working on her Masters of Secondary Education degree and hopes to graduate in June of 2010.
