Desiree grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma where she was first introduced to ballet by Caroline van Rossum Dublisky at the Lawton Ballet Academy. She completed her formal ballet education in Ft. Worth, Texas with the Southwest Ballet Center studying Bournonville and Vaganova ballet techniques under the direction of William Martin-Viscount. She has been coached by and studied with such ballet legends as Madame Nathalie Krassovska, Madame Yvonne Chouteau, Kirsten Ralov, and Kirov Prima Ballerina, Irina Kolpakova. Under their direction she has performed in several classical ballets such as Napoli, Flower Festival, La Ventana, The Dying Swan, Giselle, Les Sylphides, La Grande Pas de Quatre, Swan Lake, Esmeralda, Coppelia, and La Fille Mal Gardee. A former dancer with Oklahoma City Ballet, Desiree has over 25 years professional dance experience as a performer and educator.
